Connie,

The best thing we did when looking for a dog about two years ago was to do in depth research on the various breeds. We spent about six months looking and searching for the characteristics and traits we wanted in ‘our best friend’.

Once we had determined the right breed for us was a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog we went to visit owners that had Swissies. This paid off in spades!!

We were looking for a companion that was big, he had to have a sweet nature, like kids, be relatively easy to train, and not be high maintenance. I did not want a jumpy dog that was always yapping, or needed excessive exercise (e.g. Lab or Retriever).

We truly hit the Jack Pot with Ace. He is obedient, sweet beyond words, loves our grandchildren, and we’ll swear sometimes he speaks to us! I exercise him daily with a walk of nearly a mile and then he is happy for the rest of the day to play with a toy (he still loves the one you gave him best), watch TV, sleep and talk to Bebe and myself.

We can never see ourselves ever owning any other breed.

We also want to thank you for the magnificent job you have done as a breeder. My vet was extremely impressed with your knowledge, both before and after we got Ace. And listening to you has paid dividends. Thanks for always being so caring and patient whenever we have questions or are looking for advise.

Please don’t hesitate to ever use us as a reference for either you as a breeder, or for recommending Swissies as a breed of choice for anyone looking for a pet, a friend, or an additional family member.
